For non-revs, by a non-rev

Every way there, on standby.

Tell Listy where you’re going. It checks real schedules through every hub and ranks each way there by how many backup flights you’d have if you don’t clear.

Free plan, no card. Any airline. Not affiliated with any airline.

Example searches, modelled on published schedules. Live searches use current schedules, which can change. Backups are later flights on the same route that day, not open seats.

Free for every non-rev.

The whole planner costs nothing. Plus is for people who fly standby a lot, and it isn’t on sale yet.

How it works

One sentence in. Every reasonable route out.

  1. Tell it your trip

Type it like you’d text a friend. It already knows your home airport, your airline and who’s coming.

  2. It checks every route

Real schedules for nonstops and connections through every hub, plus nearby airports and train or ferry finishes.

  3. Pick the one with the most backups

Every option shows how many later flights you could fall back on, leg by leg, if you don’t clear.

Backups first, not just fastest.

On standby, the best flight is the one with the most chances behind it. Listy counts every later flight on each leg, so you can see that the 11:20 nonstop to Honolulu is the last one of the day, while the 06:05 through Los Angeles has 14 more flights to LAX and two more to Honolulu behind it.

Each leg is its own listing, so each leg gets its own count. Connection times are flagged when they’re tight or long.

Try it: re-sort the list, or open a card to see each leg.

Sorted by most backups. First: American 3303 then American 31, via LAX. Departs 06:05, arrives 11:25. 10h 20m. Fewest backups on any leg: 2.

    AA 3108:30–11:25

Both legs have later flights, so missing one isn’t the end of the day.

Every hub, one view.

Connections are grouped by where you’d change planes, with the routes on the map. Open a hub to see its flight pairs and how long you’d wait between them.

Frankfurt to Bangkok? Dubai, Istanbul, Munich and Zurich side by side. Lufthansa flights count as your airline, and partners that accept ZED are labeled on every leg. No more searching one hub at a time.

Try it: switch tabs, open a hub, or tap a hub on the map.

Ideas you didn’t ask for.

No jets fly to Vieques. Listy finds the way in anyway: land in San Juan, then a 25-minute hop on a small plane, or the drive and ferry from Ceiba. Rome looks full? Naples and the train. Orange County sold out? Long Beach and a short drive.

It checks nearby airports, other days and train or ferry finishes on its own. Anything approximate is marked with ≈.

Try it: turn on trains, ferries and drives.

What it doesn’t do yet.

Better to hear it here than at the gate.

Seat loads
It doesn’t show open seats or the standby list. Check loads in your airline’s employee tools before you go.
Partner agreements
It knows which airlines publicly accept ZED, not which agreements your employer has. Confirm eligibility and buy ZED tickets in your employee travel portal.
Listing or booking
Listy plans. It doesn’t list you or book anything; you still do that through your airline.
Guarantees
Schedules come from a third-party data provider and can change. Standby is never guaranteed.

Questions

Is the free plan really free?

Yes. Free is the whole planner, not a trial, and there’s no card to enter. Everything in Free stays free. No ads, and we never sell your data. If anything changes you get 60 days’ notice and keep what you have for a year.

What counts as a search?

A new route or a new date. Follow-ups on results you already have don’t count: asking about a later flight, sorting, opening a hub, saving or sharing. Free includes 5 searches and 25 messages a day, and both reset daily.

Why are there limits at all?

Every search pulls schedules from a paid flight-data provider and runs an AI model, and both cost money. Daily limits keep Free sustainable for everyone, without ads and without selling data.

Does it show seat loads?

No. It shows how many later flights you could fall back on, not how full they are. Check loads in your airline’s employee tools before you list. Load estimates are a feature we’d like to add; Plus members would get them first.

Which airlines does it work with? What about ZED?

Any airline. Tell it yours and it treats that airline and its regional partners as your pass. Airlines that publicly accept interline (ZED) staff travel are labeled “Accepts ZED · verify”, because only your employee travel portal knows which agreements you actually have.

When is Plus coming, and what’s a founding member?

Plus is coming soon. It isn’t on sale yet, so there’s nothing to buy today. Anyone who creates a free account before it launches is a founding member and gets 3 months of Plus free.

What happens to my information?

Your profile, travelers, chats and saved trips are stored so it can remember you, and you can delete your account at any time. We never sell your data. The Privacy Policy has the details.

Where do the flights come from?

From published airline schedules supplied by a flight-data provider. The AI explains options and suggests ideas, but it never makes up a flight: every flight you see comes from schedule data. Train and ferry times are typical, not live, and marked ≈.

Is it affiliated with my airline?

No. Listy is independent and isn’t affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any airline.

Is there an app?

It’s a website built for your phone first, so there’s nothing to install. It works in any modern browser.

Built by a non-rev.

Listy is made by someone who grew up flying standby, for people who fly the same way, on any airline. It plans the way non-revs actually plan: every option on the table, and a backup for every one.

Where to next?

Describe the trip. Listy finds every way there.
